A brilliant fellow who breeds excellence, Mr. Nilo Cruz is a distinguished gentleman with an impressive career journey across multiple industries. He is currently the President of Par 5 Ventures and Information Communications Technology consultant for Menksys, PCCW Solutions Phils, Cloud4c, Eagle Express Group and JCash. He was formerly the Chief Information Officer of the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) and Chief Operating Officer of DCI, a wholly-owned DBP subsidiary where he successfully led the ICT group’s operations, application planning and development, process management, and systems integration offered to both private and public sectors.
Among his notable achievements were the overall revenue and profitability of GE HC Business when he served as Country Manager of GE Healthcare. Mr. Nilo Cruz was also the President and Managing Director of Smartmatic/TIM, the joint venture that successfully ran the first ever automated elections in the Philippines last May 10, 2010. He also led integral roles in Environment Global, British Telecoms, Datacraft Asia and IBM. In 2001, he managed the successful mega merger of HP and Compaq Computer Corporations and served as the Managing Director of the merged entity, HP Philippines until 2007.
He is a firm believer of thinking out of the box, having foresight and to keep on learning. A great mentor, he uplifts the team he leads and never stops developing people because they’re the ones that will push you up, rather than pull you down. He believes in the importance of family, love for country and has a passion for golf and farming.
An Industrial Engineer (IECB/PIEE) by profession, he holds a Masters Degree from De La Salle Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Industrial Engineering from Mapua Institute of Technology.
